Trinity Farm

Ride with faith...

Chesapeake, Virginia

They that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they will soar as with wings of eagles.  Isaiah 40:31

Trinity Farm is one of the only dedicated eventing training centers in Chesapeake and Southside Hampton Roads.  Owned by Rich and Tina Bodnar, Trinity Farm has been bringing along young horses and riders since 1996.
Over that time, the farm has grown in size and scope.  Although located on only three and a half acres, the farm is home to five horses.  There is a sand arena with excellent footing with stadium jumps and some cross country jumps on the perimeter.

Tina and her husband Rich live on the farm and the horses receive excellent care and round-the-clock attention.

The barn has five roomy stalls, a concrete center aisle, a large tack room and separate feed room.  Horses are turned out as much as the weather allows.  The barn is equipped with an insect sprayer system as well as a hot water heater for baths.  Amenities for the non-equines include a refrigerator and water heater for warm or cold drinks.

Tina has been riding most of her life, and discovered the world of eventing in the mid 1990's.  Since that time she has devoted herself to learning from experts in each of the disciplines, and has risen through the levels with marked success.

Eventing in the Chesapeake area is just starting to catch on, as those of you in the area have noticed, it is difficult to find training or competitions without traveling for hours to other areas of the state.  Tina has put the time and effort into traveling and learning, and now brings her knowledge and skills back to the area to share with local riders.

Tina has qualified for area II Championships with great regularity; she has taught students on their horses to improve their communication for whatever discipline they do.  She has retrained several problem horses who are now excellent and useful riding or show horses.  Tina has also helped riders begin eventing and improve their skills to compete safely through Training level.

Services available at Trinity Farm include lessons on your horse or three horses that are available on a limited basis for lessons, in dressage, stadium jumping or cross country.  Tina is also available for lessons at other facilities, as well as training of your horse at your farm.  Limited boarding is available, although currently all stalls are full.  Tina is also willing to show your horse for you in horse trials.
